It's a beautiful morning and they're off - finally!! This walk has been a long time coming, the practice walks have been endless, through every weather imaginable except sunshine ironically! Most week-ends they've been up to their necks in mud and water so the sunshine is a pleasant surprise.
Russ and the taxi driver had a cup of tea whilst they waited for the others to arrive - well all of them except 'Sir Paul' who's being collected from his home!! Tim arrived first chauffeured by Shirley closely followed by Simon and Andrew. Richard who lives two doors away arrived last!
Hugs and kisses all round and they climb into the bus ready for the off leaving the front seat for Jacko - the driver needs to stay awake - it's early so they all decide Paul should sit up front and point out the 'A5' to him along the route whilst they all sleep in the back ;-)
Shirley and I are waving and suddenly Richard climbs back out of the bus - the only one who gets travel sick and he's forgotten to take his tablet until reminded by his surrogate mum Simon - bless.
